26 May 2010 - Call for Research Development Group Proposals

The Children & Young People’s Research Network (CYPRN) provides a national infrastructure for large-scale research in children’s health. The Network currently involves three Research centres which coordinate the recruitment of patients, participants or clinical teams for large-scale research studies ‘adopted’ by the Network. To supplement the Research Centres, the Network is currently seeking proposals to set up a number of Research Development Groups (RDG’s). The goal of the RDG funding is to support a multidisciplinary group of people who are interested in developing a research proposal for a substantial grant application addressing a single research question or a programme of research work in children and young people’s health. The funds provided are not to enable groups to carry out research but to enable them to write and submit a grant application for a large scale research project.

The closing date for applications is 25 June 2010.
