Background

The Wales Office for Research and Development in Health and Social Care (WORD) has restructured the support for health and social care research in Wales through the Clinical Research Collaboration Cymru (CRC Cymru). The aim of this new collaboration is to enable research in Wales to be of international status, to attract substantial funding and to improve the coordination between researchers in different institutions.

Involving People was set up in July 2006 as part of CRC Cymru and aims to provide input into the strategy, development and implementation of health and social care research in Wales.
